Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Insert batteries correctly.

  1. Open battery compartment: Slide cover on back of remote.
  2. Insert batteries: Use two AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.

  4. Test remote: Point at AC unit and press any button to confirm operation.

First-Time Setup

Power on AC unit; sync remote control.

Connecting to AC Unit

Infrared communication; no physical connection required.

  1. Ensure line of sight between remote and AC unit's IR receiver.
  2. Remove any obstacles blocking IR signal.
  3. Distance should be within 8 meters with 30° angle.
  4. If multiple Daikin units, point remote at specific unit being controlled.

Tip: Clean IR sensor on AC unit if remote response is weak.

Operating Modes

Five main operating modes for different needs.

  1. Cool Mode: For cooling; set desired temperature and fan speed.
  2. Heat Mode: For heating (heat pump models only).
  3. Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling/heating.
  4. Dry Mode: Reduces humidity; fan runs at low speed.
  5. Auto Mode: Unit automatically selects Cool, Heat, or Fan based on room temperature.

WARNING! Do not use Heat Mode if outdoor temperature is below specified minimum for your model.

Advanced Functions

Timer: Program On/Off times. Press TIMER, set time with ▲/▼, press SET. Swing: Adjust louver direction for even air distribution. Sleep: Automatically adjusts temperature upward (Cool) or downward (Heat) over 7 hours. Energy Saver: In Cool/Dry modes, fan stops when desired temperature is reached. Filter Indicator: Flashes when filter needs cleaning; press and hold FILTER button for 3 seconds to reset.

Care & Maintenance

Clean remote regularly with dry, soft cloth. Replace batteries every 6-12 months.
