Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure the heat pump system is powered off.

  1. Mount the controller: Choose a location on an interior wall, approximately 1.5m from the floor, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  2. Connect communication cable: Run the provided cable from the controller to the main heat pump unit's control terminal block.
  3. Connect power: Plug the controller's power adapter into a standard 120V/230V AC outlet as specified.
  4. Secure the controller onto the wall bracket and snap into place.

WARNING! Installation must be performed by a qualified technician in accordance with local electrical codes. Ensure all connections are secure and cables are not pinched.

First-Time Setup

Power on the controller and heat pump system; follow initial setup prompts.

  1. Select language: Use the MENU button to enter settings, navigate to LANGUAGE, and select your preference.
  2. Set date and time: Essential for accurate timer scheduling. Navigate to CLOCK SETTING in the menu.
  3. Configure system type: Confirm the connected heat pump model (e.g., monobloc, split) for correct operation.
  4. Calibrate temperature sensors (if required): Follow on-screen instructions for room temperature offset.

CAUTION! Do not attempt to configure refrigerant or high-voltage parameters. These should be set by the installing technician.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access main functions via the front panel buttons: POWER, MODE, FAN, TEMP ▲/▼, MENU, and BACK.

Remote: POWER, MODE, FAN SPEED, TEMPERATURE, SWING, TIMER, MENU, NAVIGATION arrows, OK.

Menu Structure:
- Timer Setting: Program daily and weekly schedules.
- System Settings: Language, units (°C/°F), beeper sound, backlight duration.
- Advanced Settings (Installer Menu): DHW priority, heating curves, pump control parameters. (Access code often required).
- Information: View operating hours, error history, software version.
- Filter Reset: Reset the filter cleaning reminder after maintenance.

Connecting to the Heat Pump

The controller communicates with the outdoor and indoor units via a dedicated 2-wire cable.

  1. Ensure all system power is OFF at the main circuit breaker.
  2. Connect the communication cable terminals (A and B) to the corresponding terminals on the heat pump's main PCB.
  3. Observe polarity (A to A, B to B). Incorrect connection will prevent communication.
  4. Power on the system. The controller should display "Communicating..." and then show the standby screen.

Tip: Use shielded cable for runs longer than 10 meters and keep it away from power lines to avoid interference.

Operating Modes

Press the MODE button to cycle through available operations.

  1. Heating Mode: For space heating. Set desired room temperature.
  2. Cooling Mode: For space cooling. Set desired room temperature.
  3. Auto Mode: System automatically switches between heating and cooling based on room temperature.
  4. DHW Mode (Domestic Hot Water): Prioritizes heating the sanitary hot water tank.
  5. Fan Only Mode: Circulates air without heating or cooling.
  6. Dry Mode: Reduces humidity in the room (mild cooling operation).

WARNING! Do not set heating temperature too low in freezing conditions to prevent pipe freeze. Consult installer for anti-freeze settings.

Scheduling & Timers

Access via MENU > TIMER SETTING. You can set up to 4 ON/OFF periods per day for each day of the week.

  1. Select the day (MON, TUE... ALL DAYS).
  2. Set the first ON time and desired temperature.
  3. Set the first OFF time (system goes to standby or economy temperature).
  4. Repeat for additional periods.
  5. Enable or disable the timer function with the TIMER ON/OFF button on the remote.

Holiday Mode: Set a reduced temperature period for extended absences to save energy.

Maintenance & Care

Unplug power adapter before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Routine Checks:
- Reset the filter sign every 3-6 months or as needed after cleaning.
- Ensure the controller display is clear and buttons are responsive.
- Keep vents on the heat pump unit clean and unobstructed.

CAUTION! There are no user-serviceable parts inside the controller. Do not open the casing.
