Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose appropriate mounting location.

  1. Select location: Mount on wall or place on table within line of sight to indoor units.
  2. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 2x AAA batteries observing polarity.
  3. Mounting: Use provided screws for wall mounting at recommended height (1.5m).
  4. System pairing: Point controller at indoor unit and follow pairing procedure.

WARNING! Do not install near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Ensure clear line of sight to indoor units.

First-Time Setup

Insert batteries; follow initialization procedure.

  1. Power on: Controller initializes automatically when batteries are inserted.
  2. Pair with system: Point at indoor unit, press and hold SET button for 5 seconds until beep.
  3. Set clock: Press CLOCK button, use arrows to set time, press SET to confirm.
  4. Configure preferences: Set temperature unit (°C/°F), beep sound, backlight duration.
  5. Test operation: Press POWER to turn system ON, verify response from indoor unit.

CAUTION! Keep controller away from water and excessive humidity during setup.

Connecting to AC System

Infrared wireless connection to Daikin indoor units.

  1. Ensure indoor unit is powered and in standby mode.
  2. Point controller at indoor unit's receiver (within 8 meters).
  3. Press and hold SET button for 5 seconds until indoor unit beeps.
  4. LED on controller blinks 3 times to confirm pairing.
  5. Test control by pressing POWER button.

Tip: For group control, pair controller with master indoor unit first, then add other units through settings menu.

Operation Modes

Five operation modes available:

  1. Cool Mode: For cooling. Set desired temperature, fan speed.
  2. Heat Mode: For heating. Set desired temperature, fan speed.
  3. Fan Mode: Air circulation only. No temperature control.
  4. Dry Mode: Dehumidification. Reduces humidity without significant cooling.
  5. Auto Mode: System automatically selects Cool or Heat based on room temperature.

Timer Operation: Press TIMER button, set ON/OFF times using ▲/▼ buttons, press SET to confirm. Timer icon appears on display when active.

Advanced Functions

Group Control: Control up to 16 indoor units simultaneously. Configure through settings menu.

Filter Sign Reset: Press FILTER button for 3 seconds to reset maintenance indicator after cleaning filter.

Error Code Display: System faults appear as codes on display (e.g., E1, E3, U4). Refer to troubleshooting section.

Louver Control: Press SWING button to adjust vertical louver direction (Auto swing or fixed positions).

Care & Maintenance

Clean with dry, soft cloth. Replace batteries when low battery icon appears.

  1. Cleaning: Use slightly damp cloth for stubborn stains. Do not use chemicals.
  2. Battery replacement: Replace both AAA batteries simultaneously with fresh ones.
  3. Storage: Remove batteries if not used for extended periods.
  4. Inspection: Check battery contacts for corrosion periodically.
