Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Ensure proper location selection for indoor and outdoor units.

  1. Mount indoor unit: Select location away from direct sunlight and heat sources, ensure proper clearance.
  2. Install outdoor unit: Place on stable, level surface with adequate airflow and clearance.
  3. Connect refrigerant piping: Flare connections, apply insulation, ensure proper length and routing.
  4. Connect drain hose: Route to proper drainage location with downward slope.
  5. Connect wiring: Follow electrical diagram for power and communication lines.
  6. Evacuate and charge system: Vacuum to remove moisture and non-condensables, charge with R-410A refrigerant.

WARNING! Installation must be performed by qualified HVAC technician. Follow all local codes and safety regulations. Handle refrigerant properly.

First-Time Setup

Power on system; follow startup procedure.

  1. Power up: Turn on circuit breaker for outdoor and indoor units.
  2. Test operation: Use remote to set cooling/heating mode, verify airflow and temperature change.
  3. Configure settings: Set temperature units (°F/°C), fan speeds, timer functions.
  4. Connect to Daikin One+: Follow app instructions to pair system with smart thermostat if applicable.
  5. Check drainage: Verify condensate is draining properly from indoor unit.

CAUTION! Do not operate system without proper refrigerant charge. Ensure all electrical connections are secure.
