Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure power to heat pump system is turned OFF at circuit breaker.

1. Mount thermostat: Remove old thermostat (if applicable); mount new backplate on wall using provided screws.
2. Connect wiring: Match labeled terminals (R, C, Y1, Y2, O/B, G, W1, W2, etc.) to existing system wires.
3. Attach thermostat: Align and snap thermostat onto backplate.
4. Restore power: Turn circuit breaker back ON.

First-Time Setup

Power on thermostat; follow on-screen prompts for initial configuration.

1. Set language: Select ENGLISH (default) or other available languages.

3. Set temperature format: Choose Fahrenheit or Celsius.

CAUTION! Do not force thermostat onto backplate. Ensure wires are securely connected and not pinched.

3. Connect wires to corresponding terminals on Daikin backplate (R, C, Y1, Y2, O/B, G, W1, W2, etc.).
4. For Wi-Fi module: Insert into dedicated slot on backplate before mounting thermostat.
5. Restore power and verify system communication.

Tip: Refer to the heat pump system's installation manual for specific terminal designations and compatibility.

Operating Modes

Select mode using SYSTEM button or via menu.

1. Heat Mode: Thermostat controls heat pump and auxiliary heat based on setpoint.
2. Cool Mode: Activates cooling function of heat pump.
3. Auto Mode: Automatically switches between Heat and Cool to maintain comfort range.
4. Emergency Heat: Uses auxiliary heat only (bypasses heat pump). For use when heat pump is inoperative.
5. Off: System and fan are off. Display remains active.
6. Fan Mode: Auto (fan runs with heating/cooling cycle), On (fan runs continuously), Circulate (fan runs periodically).

WARNING! Do not frequently switch between Heat and Cool modes. Allow system to stabilize. Use Emergency Heat only when necessary due to higher energy consumption.

Scheduling & Programming

Create energy-saving schedules for weekdays and weekends.

1. Press MENU, select SCHEDULE.
2. Select day or day type (Weekday, Weekend, Custom).
3. Set up to 4 periods per day with desired time and temperature setpoints.
4. Use COPY function to duplicate schedules to other days.
5. Press HOLD for temporary override; press HOLD again to resume schedule.

Tip: Utilize setback temperatures during sleeping or away hours to maximize energy savings.

Maintenance Alerts

Filter Change Reminder: Icon appears after predefined runtime (default 500 hours). Reset by navigating to Alerts > Filter Reset. System Alert: Displays error codes for system faults (e.g., communication loss, sensor failure). Consult technician.
