Installation & Battery Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure remote is compatible with your Daikin mini-split unit.

1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment on back, insert 2 AAA batteries (alkaline recommended).
2. Battery orientation: Match + and - indicators.
3. Close compartment securely.
4. Point remote at indoor unit's signal receiver (within 8 meters/26 feet).

WARNING! Use correct battery type; do not mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries if not used for extended periods.

First-Time Setup

Power on indoor unit; use remote to establish connection.

1. Initial synchronization: Point remote at unit, press any button. Unit should beep.
2. Set temperature units: Press MODE and TEMP buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to switch between °C and °F.
3. Set clock: Press CLOCK button, use TEMP buttons to adjust time, press CLOCK again to confirm.
4. Test functions: Test each mode to ensure proper operation.

CAUTION! Keep remote away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.

Controls and Buttons

Operating Modes

Tip: For energy efficiency, set temperature to 24°C (75°F) in cooling, 20°C (68°F) in heating.

Timer Functions

Set daily On/Off schedules.

1. On Timer: Press TIMER button, use TEMP buttons to set On time, press TIMER to confirm.
2. Off Timer: Press TIMER twice, set Off time, press TIMER to confirm.
3. Cancel Timer: Press TIMER repeatedly until timer indicator disappears.
4. Weekly Timer (if available): Press TIMER and CLOCK simultaneously to program multiple days.

Note: Timer requires correct clock setting. Power outage may reset timer.

Advanced Features

Follow Me/I-Feel: Press FOLLOW ME button; remote senses temperature at its location and adjusts unit accordingly. Sleep Mode: Press SLEEP button; gradually adjusts temperature for comfortable sleep, reduces fan noise. Powerful/Turbo: Press POWERFUL button for rapid cooling/heating (auto cancels after 15-30 minutes). Energy Saving: Press ECONO button to reduce power consumption. Self-Clean: Some models have automatic coil drying function to prevent mold.

Care & Maintenance

Clean remote with dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasives.

1. Replace batteries every 6-12 months or when display dims.
2. Keep remote dry; avoid extreme temperatures.
3. If buttons become unresponsive, clean with cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol.
4. Store in protective case if available.
