Installation Guidelines

  2. Mount bracket: Secure indoor unit mounting bracket to wall using provided hardware.
  3. Connect refrigerant piping: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units. Ensure proper insulation.
  4. Electrical connections: Connect power cables to designated terminals following local electrical codes.
  5. Drain hose: Attach drain hose to indoor unit and route to appropriate drainage point.
  6. Vacuum and charge: Evacuate air from refrigerant lines and charge with specified refrigerant type and amount.

WARNING! Only qualified personnel should install or service this equipment. Incorrect installation can cause injury, electric shock, or fire.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and configure initial settings.

  1. Power on: Turn on circuit breaker for outdoor unit. Indoor unit will beep and display standby.
  2. Remote control: Insert batteries (typically AAA) into remote. Point remote at indoor unit signal receiver.
  3. Test operation: Press MODE to select Cool or Heat. Set desired temperature with TEMP buttons.
  4. Configure Wi-Fi (if applicable): Download Daikin app, follow in-app instructions to connect unit to home network.
  5. Set clock and timer: Use remote or app to set current time and schedule if desired.

CAUTION! Do not operate system without proper refrigerant charge. Allow 3 minutes between turning system off and on.

Tip: Ensure indoor unit is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Reset Wi-Fi module by pressing WLAN button on indoor unit for 5 seconds if connection fails.

Operating Modes

  1. Cool Mode: For cooling. Set temperature between 64°F - 86°F.
  2. Heat Mode: For heating. Set temperature between 64°F - 86°F.
  3. Dry Mode: Reduces humidity while maintaining temperature.
  4. Fan Mode: Circulates air without heating or cooling.
  5. Auto Mode: System automatically selects Cool or Heat based on room temperature.
  6. Sleep Mode: Gradually adjusts temperature for energy savings during sleep.
  7. Turbo Mode: Maximum cooling/heating for quick temperature change.
  8. Quiet Mode: Reduces fan speed for minimal noise.

WARNING! Do not operate in Heat mode when outdoor temperature is below minimum specified for your model.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Air Filter Cleaning: Clean every 2 weeks during peak usage.
    • Turn off unit and unplug if accessible.
    • Open front panel of indoor unit.
    • Remove filter(s) and clean with vacuum or wash with mild detergent and water.
    • Dry completely before reinstalling.
    • Press FILTER RESET on remote to reset maintenance indicator.
  2. Outdoor Unit: Keep area around unit clear of debris, leaves, and snow.
  3. Indoor Unit: Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. Professional Maintenance: Schedule annual maintenance with qualified technician to check refrigerant levels, electrical connections, and overall system performance.

CAUTION! Always turn off power at circuit breaker before performing any maintenance. Do not use water to clean electrical components.
