Refrigerant Piping Connection

  6. Insulate both liquid and gas lines with closed-cell foam insulation to prevent condensation and heat loss.

WARNING! Never use existing R-22 piping. Use only R-410A compatible materials. Avoid pipe kinks.

Electrical Wiring

Connecting power and communication cables.

  1. Turn OFF main circuit breaker and verify no voltage is present.
  2. Run power cable (specified gauge per local code and unit rating) from disconnect switch to unit terminal block (L1, L2, Ground).
  3. Run shielded 2-core communication cable between outdoor unit terminal block (1, 2) and indoor unit.

Vacuum Drying & Charging

  5. With system under vacuum, fully open the liquid and gas service valves on the outdoor unit using a hex wrench.

  7. Additional refrigerant charge is rarely needed for pre-charged systems within specified piping lengths. If required, add R-410A in liquid form into the liquid line port.

Commissioning & Test Run

  2. Turn on power at disconnect switch and circuit breaker.
  3. Power on the indoor unit from its remote controller.
  4. Set system to COOL mode with a low temperature setting. The outdoor unit fan and compressor should start.
