Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure remote is compatible with your Daikin unit.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, install two AAA batteries with correct polarity.
  2. Position remote: Point directly at AC unit's infrared receiver within 8 meters.
  3. Check connection: Ensure no obstructions between remote and unit.

First-Time Setup

Connecting to AC Unit

  2. Point remote directly at unit's IR receiver (usually on front panel).
  3. Press POWER button; unit should beep and display indicator lights.
  4. If no response, check batteries, distance, and obstructions.

Tip: For initial pairing, some models require entering a 3-digit code (see unit manual).

Operating Modes

Five main operating modes for different needs.

  1. Cool Mode: Press MODE until snowflake icon appears. Set desired temperature.
  2. Heat Mode: Press MODE until sun icon appears. Set temperature for heating.
  3. Fan Mode: Press MODE until fan icon appears. Circulates air without cooling/heating.
  4. Dry Mode: Press MODE until water drop icon appears. Reduces humidity.
  5. Auto Mode: Press MODE until AUTO appears. Unit automatically selects Cool/Heat based on room temperature.

WARNING! Do not set extreme temperatures. Allow unit to complete cycles before changing modes.

Advanced Functions

Timer: Set On/Off timer by pressing TIMER, then ▲/▼ to set hours. ECO Mode: Reduces energy consumption by optimizing operation. Sleep Mode: Gradually adjusts temperature for comfortable sleep. Swing Control: Adjusts air flow direction. Filter Reset: Hold FILTER button for 3 seconds after cleaning filter.

Care & Cleaning

Remove batteries before cleaning. Wipe with dry, soft cloth. Do not use chemicals or abrasives.

CAUTION! Avoid water contact. Do not disassemble remote. Replace batteries when weak.
