Pre-Installation Checklist

Before installation, verify all components and plan the setup.

  1. Check contents: Indoor unit, outdoor unit, remote control, installation manual, piping kit, mounting bracket, screws, drain hose.
  2. Choose location: Indoor unit on sturdy wall, away from direct sunlight and heat sources; outdoor unit on stable surface with proper ventilation.
  3. Ensure clearances: Minimum distances from walls/obstacles as per manual.
  4. Verify electrical supply: Correct voltage (e.g., 230V/1Ph/50Hz) and dedicated circuit.

WARNING! Installation must be performed by a qualified technician. Incorrect installation can cause injury, electric shock, or fire.

Installation Procedure

Follow steps in order for safe and proper installation.

  1. Mount indoor unit bracket: Level and secure to wall.
  2. Drill hole for piping: 65-70mm diameter, sloping slightly downward to outside.
  3. Connect piping and cables: Flare connections, insulate pipes, run drain hose.
  4. Mount outdoor unit: On stable base or brackets, ensure vibration pads are used.
  5. Connect refrigerant lines: Tighten with torque wrench, check for leaks.
  6. Connect electrical wiring: Follow wiring diagram, ensure proper grounding.
  7. Evacuate air and moisture: Use vacuum pump on service ports.
  8. Charge refrigerant: If required, add specified amount of R-410A.

CAUTION! Handle refrigerant piping carefully to avoid kinks. Use proper tools for flaring and tightening.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Operate via remote control or indoor unit buttons.

Remote: POWER, MODE (Cool/Heat/Fan/Dry/Auto), TEMP ▲/▼, FAN SPEED, SWING, TIMER, SLEEP, TURBO, RESET.

Indoor Unit: Operation indicator lights, filter reset button (behind panel).

Settings: Temperature setpoint (16°C-30°C), fan speed (Auto/Low/Med/High/Turbo), louver direction (manual or auto swing), timer (on/off up to 24 hours), sleep mode (gradual temperature adjustment).

Electrical Connections

Connect indoor and outdoor units to power supply.

  1. Turn off main power before wiring.
  2. Run cables through piping hole: Power cable, communication cable, ground wire.
  3. Connect to terminal blocks: Match wire labels (L, N, 1, 2, ground) as per diagram.
  4. Secure connections and insulate terminals.
  5. Ensure proper grounding of both units.

Tip: Use conduit for protection if cables are exposed. Follow local electrical codes.

Refrigerant Piping

Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units.

  1. Cut pipes to required length: Use pipe cutter, deburr edges.
  2. Flare pipe ends: Use flaring tool to 45° angle, check for cracks.
  3. Connect to valves: Tighten flare nuts with torque wrench (specified torque).
  4. Insulate pipes: Cover with foam insulation to prevent condensation.
  5. Leak test: Apply soap bubbles or use electronic leak detector.

WARNING! Use only R-410A compatible tools and materials. Do not mix refrigerants.

Drainage Setup

Install drain hose to remove condensation from indoor unit.

  1. Attach drain hose: Connect to indoor unit drain port, secure with clamp.
  2. Route hose: Slope downward (minimum 1/100 gradient) to outside or drain point.
  3. Use trap: If required, install U-trap to prevent air suction.
  4. Test drainage: Pour water into drain pan to ensure proper flow.

CAUTION! Ensure drain hose is not kinked or blocked to prevent water leakage.

Commissioning & Test Run

After installation, perform test run to verify operation.

  1. Restore power: Turn on circuit breaker.
  2. Test remote: Point at indoor unit, set to Cool mode, 24°C.
  3. Check operation: Listen for compressor start, feel cool air, check for unusual noises.
  4. Verify drainage: Ensure water flows from drain hose.
  5. Check error codes: If any appear on remote or indoor unit, refer to troubleshooting.
  6. Measure temperatures: Use thermometer to verify cooling/heating performance.

Note: Allow 5-10 minutes for system to stabilize. Initial operation may have slight odor from new components.
