Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure power to HVAC system is turned OFF at circuit breaker.

  1. Select Location: Mount on interior wall away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
  2. Mount Bracket: Use included screws to secure mounting bracket to wall.
  3. Run Control Cable: Route cable from controller location to indoor unit terminal block (typically 2-conductor shielded cable).
  4. Connect Wires: Strip cable ends, connect to designated terminals on controller and indoor unit (refer to wiring diagram).
  5. Attach Controller: Snap controller onto mounted bracket.
  6. Restore Power: Turn circuit breaker back ON.

WARNING! Installation must be performed by a qualified technician. Incorrect wiring can damage equipment or cause electric shock. Ensure all connections are secure and polarity is correct.

First-Time Setup

After installation and power restoration, configure basic settings.

  1. Power On: Controller display will illuminate. System may perform a self-test.
  2. Set Clock/Time: Press SET button, navigate to CLOCK setting, adjust using ▲/▼ buttons.
  3. Select Temperature Unit: In SETTINGS menu, choose between °F or °C.
  4. Test Operation: Select COOL mode, set temperature below room temp, verify indoor unit responds.
  5. Configure Timers (Optional): Program daily ON/OFF schedules if needed.

CAUTION! Do not operate system if error code appears on display. Consult troubleshooting section or contact technician.

Advanced Menu (Press SET + MODE for 3 sec): Address setting (for multi-system), Test Run mode, Error History, System parameters (restricted to technicians).

Connecting to HVAC System

Wired connection to indoor unit's control terminal block (TB).

  1. Turn OFF all system power at main breaker.
  2. Locate indoor unit's control board and terminal block (labeled TB1/TB2 or CNT).
  3. Connect shielded 2-conductor cable: Controller terminal (1) to indoor unit terminal (A), Controller terminal (2) to indoor unit terminal (B).
  4. Ensure shield wire is grounded at one end only (typically at indoor unit).
  5. Secure connections and restore power.

Tip: Refer to the specific indoor unit installation manual for exact terminal designations and wiring diagrams. Use only recommended cable type (e.g., Daikin 2-core shielded cable).

Operation Modes

Press MODE button to cycle through.

  1. AUTO: System automatically selects Cool or Heat based on room temperature.
  2. COOL: Cools the room. Set desired temperature.
  3. HEAT: Heats the room (available on heat pump models). Set desired temperature.
  4. DRY: Dehumidifies with minimal cooling.
  5. FAN: Circulates air without heating or cooling. Select fan speed.

In each mode, use TEMP ▲/▼ to adjust setpoint, and FAN to adjust airflow speed.
