Most Common Error Codes (Split & Multi-Split Models)

• U4: Communication error between indoor and outdoor units – check wiring connections, power supply to both units; reset by unplugging for 5-10 min; common on new installs or after power surges.
• U0: Refrigerant shortage/low gas – professional recharge required; check for leaks if recently serviced.
• U2: Power supply issue (drop voltage or overvoltage) – check circuit breaker, voltage at outlet (187-253V typical); wait for stable power.
• A1: Indoor unit PCB fault – may require board replacement; try power reset first.
• A5: Freeze-up protector / high pressure – clean filters, ensure airflow not blocked; thaw if iced up.
• A6: Indoor fan motor fault – check for obstructions, clean fan; may need motor or PCB service.

Outdoor Unit Specific

• E7: Outdoor DC fan motor fault – check fan spins freely, clean debris; possible motor or driver issue.
• E5 / E6: Compressor overload or startup fault – check power, refrigerant levels; professional diagnosis needed.
• F3: High discharge pipe temperature – often low refrigerant or dirty coils; clean outdoor unit.

Remote Control & LED Blinking (Common Series like FTXM, FTXP, FTXF)

• Blinking lights (timer/power): Count blinks for code (e.g., 2 blinks = sensor error, 3 = fan issue); hold timer cancel 5 sec to enter diagnosis mode, press to cycle codes until long beep.
• No cooling/heating: Check mode (cool/heat/auto), set temp, clean filters; ensure outdoor unit running.
• Strange noise/vibration: Clean indoor filters/coils; check for loose parts; run self-clean if available.

Smart & Inverter Models (2023–2025)

• Wi-Fi / app not connecting: Ensure 2.4GHz network; reset unit Wi-Fi (hold specific buttons per model); check Daikin app setup.
• Streamer / air purifying not effective: Clean streamer unit (blinking light may indicate); run self-clean cycle.
• Unit not responding to remote: Replace remote batteries; point directly; try power reset (unplug indoor/outdoor 10 min).
